Maltego is a tool used for open-source intelligence and forensics. Unlike most tools, maltego has a GUI and is user friendly.
Maltego has many footprinting options such as company stalker and etc.
For this demonstration, only Footprint L1(level 1, fastest but least detailed) will be used.
Footprint L1 only requires domain name. We will try to footprint microsoft.com.
After a while, Maltego will show a map of what it has found.
Information such as DNS names, location, ipv4 address can be found.
In addition, transformations are possible to do. For example, running transform on mail.microsoft.com to find additional DNS Names (First option).
Each transform has their own required inputs, but some has default values on.
